ermhoi
A producer and singer with roots in both Japan and Ireland, ermhoi seamlessly blends genres across her music.
In 2015, she released her debut album *Junior Refugee* on Salvaged Tapes. Her diverse career includes composing music for films, TV commercials, and art exhibitions, as well as remixing, providing vocals, synthesizers, and backing vocals.
She has performed with globally recognized artists like Eiko Ishibashi, Jim O’Rourke, Phew, and Codeine.
Additionally, has collaborated with some of Japan's most prominent contemporary musicians, including Shun Ishiwaka (Answer to Remember, CRCK/LCKS, SMTK), Daiki Tsuneta (King Gnu, Millennium Parade), and Fumitake Ezaki (WONK).
ermhoi has also contributed to projects by major artists such as MONDO GROSSO, Tokyo Shiokoji, Sen Morimoto, and Maika Loubté, building strong connections with musicians both in Japan and internationally.
In 2018, she formed *black boboi* with Utena Kobayashi and Julia Shortreed, performing at the *FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '19* on the Red Marquee stage. In 2023, she performed at Mutek.JP, and in 2024, she participated in an artist residency exchange program between Berlin and Tokyo, marking her first successful international performance. Since 2019, she has been a member of Millennium Parade, led by Daiki Tsuneta.
She has perticipated in 2025 Venice biennale as a composer and sound designer for Japan Pavilion.
In her band project *ermhoi with the Attention Please*, she collaborates with Utena Kobayashi, Shun Ishiwaka, Marty Holoubek, and Taikimen, reinterpreting electronic music through live instrumentation.
Her singles “Later” and soundscape album "MADO" is currently available for streaming.
